Kasharn broke through at his second start for a impressive win over 1550m at Canterbury on Friday night, the 3yo gelding by All American had previously run an unlucky 3rd at Goulburn 2 weeks earlier, he was stepping up from the 1200m to the 1550m and going into city grade for the first time. Paying juicy odds of $16 Kasharn was ridden to perfection by Paul Hammersely quietly back in the field but was set alight at the 600m having an un interrupted run to steam home over the top of the favorite runners to win comfortably.
Con has always had an opinion of the gelding and was confident of a good result on Friday night, there is alot of upside to the gelding, with only having the two runs and showing the raw ability he has the future is looking bright for him. Kasharn has headed to the paddock now for a short break before aiming for some nice staying races over the autumn carnival.
