Unlucky springs to mind when Cashenti’s name pops up, prior to today’s win at Canberra, Cashenti had no luck what so ever in transit, being placed 3 and 4 wide every time she seen a race course, but today was the day where she was drawn to get the run of the race and that is exactly how it panned out. Perfectly ridden by Jay Ford, Cashenti was placed just in behind the leaders, when the gap presented itself on straightening the mare was just to strong to the line, winning by over 1 length.

Cashenti is a sentimental favorite of the stable, being a half sister to former Karakatsanis stable favorite Riva Da Lago, she has a lot of his attributes. Con hopes Cashenti can reach the heights of her older brother, but for now she will work through her grades.
